Live crypto blackjack is the closest an online table gets to a casino floor. A dealer in a studio deals from a real shoe, a camera shows every card, and you make your decisions on screen while the bet comes from your Bitcoin or USDT balance. The studios behind live blackjack supply the same tables to many casinos, so the dealer you see may be dealing to players from a dozen crypto casinos at once.

How a live crypto blackjack hand works
- Betting window. A timer counts down while players place bets.
- The deal. The dealer deals two cards to each seat and one or two to the dealer, depending on the table.
- Decisions. Each player chooses hit, stand, double, split or surrender, within a time limit.
- Dealer's hand. The dealer plays by the table's fixed rule on 17.
- Settlement. Wins are credited to your balance automatically.
Live formats at crypto casinos
Seven-seat classic tables
The standard: seven players, one shoe, decisions in seat order. Popular tables fill up at peak hours. Many let you bet behind a seated player, riding on their decisions with your own stake.
Unlimited-seat tables
Everyone receives the same two starting cards and makes their own decisions; the dealer draws additional cards for each different path. No waiting for a seat, and the table never fills. Read the rules: unlimited formats often add an extra payout that is paid for elsewhere in the rules.
Speed tables
Decisions are taken as they arrive, not seat by seat. More hands per hour, and a higher cost per hour at the same edge.
High-limit tables
Same rules, higher minimum and maximum bets, often fewer seats.
Rules to check on a live table
The info screen lists them. Read before you sit:
| Rule | Better for you | Worse for you |
|---|---|---|
| Blackjack payout | 3:2 | 6:5 |
| Dealer on soft 17 | stands (S17) | hits (H17) |
| Double after split | allowed | not allowed |
| Doubling | any two cards | only 9–11 or 10–11 |
| Surrender | late surrender offered | none |
| Hole card | dealer checks for blackjack | no hole card, extra bets lost to a dealer blackjack |
| Decks | fewer | more |
Most live studio tables use eight decks and stand on soft 17, with a 3:2 blackjack. That is a good rule set: about half a percent with basic strategy. Our house edge page prices every rule.
What a live session costs
| Session | Hands | Stake | Edge | Expected cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Live, one hour | 60 | $10 | 0.45% | about $2.70 |
| Live, one hour | 60 | $50 | 0.45% | about $13.50 |
| RNG, one hour | 250 | $10 | 0.45% | about $11.25 |
Hand counts are illustrations of the pace difference, not measurements. The point holds either way: live blackjack costs less per hour than RNG blackjack at the same stake and rules.

The score counts what each casino publishes about licence, ID checks and limits, not how much we like the lobby.
All of these carry live studio blackjack. What separates them for a live player is the cashier and the terms: coins accepted, withdrawal cap, and when the casino asks for ID. A casino with a sportsbook on the same balance, like Vave, Wild.io, Bitcasino.io or Cloudbet, lets you move between a live table and a match without a second account.
Side bets on live tables
Live tables add side bets that pay on your first two cards or on the dealer's upcard: pairs, poker-style three-card hands, and others. They are separate wagers with their own pay tables, and nearly all carry a much higher house edge than the main game. Treat them as optional extras with a price. Our insurance and side bets page covers the common ones.
Live blackjack on a phone
Live tables stream video, so a phone needs a steady connection. The decision buttons sit under the video and the timer is short. If your connection drops mid-hand, most tables apply a default decision, usually stand. Check the table's rules for what happens on disconnect. More on our blackjack app page.
Live blackjack etiquette
There is little to it online. Bet within the window, decide within the timer, and use the chat politely if the table has one. The dealer cannot see you, but the other players can see your decisions on shared-hand tables, and the dealer's hand does not change because of yours.
Questions and answers
What is live crypto blackjack?
Blackjack dealt by a real dealer in a studio, streamed to your screen, at a casino that takes cryptocurrency. You bet from a coin balance and make your decisions through the casino's interface.
Is live blackjack fair?
The cards come from a physical shoe dealt on camera, and studios are licensed and audited. The house edge comes from the table rules, which are printed in the game's info screen.
What if a live blackjack table is full?
Classic live tables have seven seats. You can bet behind a seated player on many tables, or choose an unlimited-seat format where everyone plays the same starting cards with their own decisions.
How many hands per hour does live blackjack deal?
Far fewer than an RNG table, because cards are dealt by hand and every seated player acts. Expect dozens of hands per hour rather than hundreds.
