The people behind the chart

Three writers, three beats: the maths of the table, the terms of the casino, and how blackjack is dealt online. Here is who does what, and the rules we work by.

Crypto Blackjack Casinos is written by a small team. Each of us has a beat, and every page carries the name of the person responsible for it.

Owen HartleyOwen HartleyRules, odds and basic strategy

Owen writes the strategy and odds pages. He works from published rule sets and the standard blackjack calculations, and turns each table rule into what it costs a player per hundred dollars staked.

On this site he writes the basic strategy chart, the house edge and payout pages and the guide to insurance and side bets. His rule: a number about blackjack odds always comes with the rule set it was worked out for.

Clara VossClara VossCasino terms and payments

Clara reads casino terms so readers do not have to. She checks licence numbers in the regulators' registers and pulls withdrawal caps and ID-check rules out of the clauses where casinos keep them.

She writes the casino reviews, the coin pages and the method behind our scores. Where a casino does not publish a rule, her pages say so rather than guess.

Dev MalhotraDev MalhotraLive tables and mobile play

Dev covers how blackjack is dealt online: live studio tables, RNG games and the provably fair originals some crypto casinos run, and how each one works on a phone.

He writes the live blackjack, app and provably fair pages, and keeps the comparison of table formats current as casinos change their lobbies.

How we work

  • Rules before opinions. A claim about odds names the rule set it was worked out for.
  • Terms before reviews. Withdrawal caps and ID rules come from the casino's own terms, with the clause where we found them.
  • Registers before badges. Licence numbers are looked up in the regulator's register, not copied from a casino footer.
  • Blank before guessed. When a casino does not publish a rule, or we have not read it yet, the page says so.

What we do not do

We do not claim to have deposited, played or withdrawn at a casino. Our reviews are based on reading published documents: terms, register entries, cashiers and table rules.

Corrections

If a number on this site is wrong or out of date, write to us through the contact page with the page address and the source. We correct the page and note the change.

How the site is paid for

Some links on this site are partner links: if you sign up at a casino through one, we may earn a commission at no cost to you. It does not change the scores, which follow the method on how we rate.
